I’m pretty sure I’ve lost my mind…

An entire week away from blogging.  Did you miss me?  Because I missed you.

And my reader looks like it’s going to explode.  Very much like my house, if dirt was flammable.  Because I haven’t cleaned since before the wretched day my little red wagonette was killed. 16 days ago.

I’ve been busy the last two weeks making lots of phone calls, researching cars online, and trying to keep myself from going bat-shit crazy.   Which could definitely be going better…

Because in an effort to alleviate some stress, I’ve relieved myself from some of my responsibilities.  Which gave me even more anxiety.  Because dirty toilets and tumbleweeds of pet hair make me stabby.

But we’re nearing the end of this whole fiasco (I hope) and right now all I can do is wait.  Because I need to get a duplicate car title from the DMV* to release the car to the insurance company to get the insurance payoff to buy a new car.

I’m definitely looking forward to the return of my mind some normalcy.   And some non-car related blog fodder.

*I’m convinced that the state didn’t send me the title to my car when I refinanced it two years ago.   Because I don’t lose things.  I’m sure it’s part of a conspiracy to squeeze another $11 out of me.

Oh my gosh! That stinks. The only bad accident I’ve ever been is was exactly 3 days after I bought my very first brand new car. *sniff snifff
A teenage boy slammed into me on the freeway while changing the radio station. He had just gotten his liscense that same day. Turkey.
Hope things get back to normal soon for you.

That would scare the crap out of me! I think having an accident on the highway is probably one of my biggest fears.

I hope that car title didn’t go in the ole shredder a little while back! I kid, I kid!!

Seems like this kind of stuff always takes forever to get taken care of :( No fun

Ha! You should know me well enough by now to know that I never finish anything I start! I got through shredding old statements and documents from my old car and haven’t touched it since…

  3. Oh wow! So sorry. Good luck with this whole thing!

    • Jen says:

Thanks! It stinks, but I know it could have been so much worse. Now I just have an excuse to get a better car!

That sucks! Such a pain. And working with the insurance companies….Oy! Hopefully they will get you taken care of. Good luck with your car shopping.

  5. […] …not looking forward to calling the insurance company again.  But they will. not. re. turn. my. calls.  But I’m not giving up because I don’t want to get cheated out of our hail damage claim.  Especially after getting screwed on the car. […]
