I’ve been meaning to… {Homeowners Edition}

Here are just a few of the projects that are on our to do list…

I’ve been meaning to paint this trim in the kitchen.  It was this ugly flat rust color when we moved in (4 years ago) and I’ve had every intention to paint it a brighter red.  But that would mean I would have to clean it first.  And that’s kinda a deal breaker.

(Don’t you love how this one piece of baseboard was never even painted?)

I’ve been meaning to pull out this nasty, moldy caulk.  I cringe everytime I put my daughter in the tub.  I’m pretty sure it’s a health hazard.  But I’ve been dreaming of getting the tub professionally reglazed if I could ever stop wrecking my car find the extra cash.  And it just makes more sense to do it all at once.  Right?

I’ve been meaning to re-glue these tiles back to the floor.  Because every time you step on them they creak, squeak, and spew concrete dust.  And right in front of the child’s door?  Not so good.  Because she needs total and complete silence to sleep.  She’s such a diva.*

(So I totally chickened out on making a video demonstrating this last one.  My actor wouldn’t cooperate [*reference above] and I wasn’t about to talk.  On video.  For everyone to hear how I sound like a 12 year old.)

    oh shoot! That reminds me of one particular tile in our kitchen. yeah, except I’ve never actually been meaning to fix it! Ha! :)

      It’s been loose like this for almost a year because what I really wanted to do was rip up all of this black tile. But that would require refinishing the hardwoods. And I don’t see that happening any time soon. So glue it is.
