Or rather, No Food Waste Friday! Unless you count the bag of Splenda and the exploded soy sauce packets that I threw away. But that doesn’t count as food.
In my efforts to dig up some food gone bad, I ended up cleaning out both the fridge and the pantry. I keep my pantry pretty clean, but it felt good to go through its contents more thoroughly.
Here’s the end result…
The top shelf is all of our breakfast foods: dry cereal, granola, oatmeal, breakfast bars (which Allison cannot. live. without.) Then below is grains like pasta, rice, bread crumbs, cornmeal, etc.
The bottom cabinet is everything else. Canned goods, crackers, baking ingredients, chips, you know – all the stuff that Allison constantly wants to get into. I really thought I would have flour dumped all over the floor the day she started crawling, but that surprisingly hasn’t been an issue. I’m sure the child safety lock has something to do with that, though.
So, there you go. Thank you Instagram for making picture taking so much easier.
