The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good:  I’m feeling pretty energetic today despite being woken up at 2:30 in the morning by a HUGE thunderstorm.

The Bad:  Less than a month after cashing the roof claim, Murphy’s Law struck.

The Ugly:  We now have a wet plaster ceiling in our dining room and a leaky roof that needs to be fixed.

The Good:  I’ve been reading a lot more these past couple months.

The Bad:  I have yet to read anything I really liked.

The Ugly:  I’ve learned that I really prefer reading blogs because bloggers get. to. the. point. since they don’t have to meet page requirements.

The Good:  I’ve already started four of the projects on my 2012 project list.

The Bad:  Home improvement projects are never as simple as they seem.

The Ugly:  Now I have to fix my fix-it project because our basement door is leaking more air than it was before.

The Good:  My hardboiled egg peeled easily this morning.

The Bad:  It has been the first out of 8 to peel easily.

The Ugly:  I really don’t even like hardboiled eggs that much.

The Good:  I had time to do some blog photography when I was snowed in last Thursday morning.

The Bad:  It was not photographs for this post.

The Ugly:  That’s why there is an Instagram picture of a hardboiled egg above.

  1. Love this post. There is a good, bad, and ugly side to everything it feels like.

I always feel like I have so many pictures of things – and then when it comes down to it, I don’t.

    Sad really.

And now you just reminded me that I told my daughter I would make her hard boiled eggs two days ago.

My problem is that taking photos requires me to actually DO something. Like cleaning out my closet, or my fridge, or my desk, or…. And I’m not great at the DOING part. I’m better at the planning part.
