Easter was a fairly low-key event this year.
We dyed some eggs.
Matt gave me all kinds of trouble because I bought our usual brown eggs to dye. He later had to eat his words because they turned out rather impressive. Look at those vibrant colors! It might have actually been the gel dyes that I used, but don’t tell him that. I like to hear him say I’m right.
Allison was enamored with them.
There were baskets with chocolate bunnies and peanut butter eggs.
We did some egg hunting.
And I brought my tripod so I could actually be in a picture for once.
Allison’s first Easter we had taken a picture with her, me, and my mom. It was time for an updated one.
Thank goodness I have better equipment now. And I’ve learned a thing or two about photography since then. Eek.
Overall, it was a simply awesome holiday. Even without 15 craft projects that involve discontinued components to hunt down.
How was your Easter?

Easter was cool and all, but let’s talk about your hair. Really, really cute!

Thanks! I think it’s finally grown out to a length that I like.
Great pictures! You have definitely learned some photo tricks since that first year!

Thanks! I love my dSLR, but still have much to learn about capturing amazing images.
It’s so fun to go back and see how much we’ve improved on things, isn’t it? Your Easter looks like it was a great time.
Love the brown eggs, btw.
Oh my god, that point and shoot was so awful I think the only way I could’ve gotten worse photos is with my Barbie 110mm film camera circa 1988. You know, the ones with the disposable flash bars?
I love your brown eggs. They look great. My girls had fun colouring with the crayons before dying too.

Using crayons was new to me, but something that my husband always did. Fun to merge traditions…
Looks like an awesome holiday!
